I get excited when my students solve math problems in a unique way and share them with the class.  I also get excited when my students share their writing and stories with us.  My class is a community where we nurture and protect, and we prioritize kindness and helpfulness.  In my spare time, I love to be outside, especially at our cabin on the Greenbrier River.  We hike, kayak, canoe, and fish. Honestly though, the only fish I have ever caught was one that jumped into my canoe while I was paddling and bounced off my arm and flopped around in the canoe. I’m happy to say that the fish got away.
